We had given up on the idea that the city and county would work together to advance recycling efforts, but we gladly stand corrected — assuming, that is, that a plan to create a regional recycling system here comes to fruition.
At a recent San Miguel County Commission meeting, a memorandum of understanding with the city was approved that, if signed by the city, will unify the two entities in their recycling efforts. The collaboration will be made possible with a $103,650 grant from the New Mexico Recycling Coalition.
