The 6th annual Thomas Mishler Music Scholarship Recital was recently performed by four very talented students from the NMHU Music Department. They were soprano, Nicole Robinson; tenor saxophone, Joshua Armendariz; baritone and guitar, Timothy Martinez; and, Dennis Montaño on the trumpet. These students were awarded a competitive scholarship last fall. In the meantime, they worked closely with their music instructors to prepare four to five selections for the spring recital.
We greatly appreciate the leadership and guidance by the NMHU faculty and staff to make the Scholarship Recital a significant music art performance the past few years. Not only do they invest many hours guiding the students in preparation, many of them are at the recital supporting each student with accompaniment or recording as they perform.
And, to those who so faithfully attend the recitals and support these developing students with financial donations, especially the NMHU Foundation, we are so pleased. Every donation helps as we strive to grow the scholarship endowment fund to support more and more students in the future.
Thank you all!
Ann and Bob Mishler
