Rangerettes send Bears into hibernation; Hope next

It’s on to the semifinals for the Mora Rangerettes, who defeated Hatch Valley 56-39 on Thursday in the Hope Christian Invitational.

Mora (11-3 and ranked fourth among Class 2A girls’ teams) will play tourney host Hope at 6 p.m. Friday for a spot in the final.

“It was another good victory for us,” said Mora head coach Mark Cassidy. “We started out very strong — it was 23-12 after the first quarter — and we just maintained and finished strong.”
