Rangerettes roll past Penasco, Taos

Two trips over the mountain.

Two nice victories.

The Mora Rangerettes are 2-1 after beating Peñasco’s Lady Panthers 53-44 last week and then nipping Taos 39-38 in a rugged overtime clash this past weekend.

At Peñasco, the Rangerettes led 25-20 at the half before outscoring the Lady Panthers 17-2 in the third quarter for a cozy 42-22 advantage. Peñasco rallied, outscoring Mora 21-11 in the final period, but it was not enough.
