Questions for Alta Vista

Reading the Las Vegas Optic article on how well Alta Vista Regional Hospital is doing left me with many questions.

First, if the hospital is such a good member of the community, why does it threaten employees who speak out for workers rights? Since most hospital employees are long-time members of the community, shouldn’t their desires (and rights) be considered? Why also is it that the hospital is so willing to fire local employees who still speak out after being threatened and hire outsiders to replace the locals?
