• Mothers of Preschoolers meeting, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, at Calvary Chapel (located in the alley behind Lowes and next to the Elks Lodge). Moms with children of any age are welcome. Through this group moms help each other become better moms while learning new parenting skills and developing new friendships. Child care provided. • Casa de Cultura 5th Annual Dia de Los Muertos art exhibit and reception, 6 p.m. on 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21 at Burris Hall, NMHU campus.

• City of Las Vegas Pumpkin Festival from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, at City Hall, 1700 N. Grand Avenue (across the street from the City Recreation Center). • The ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3815 is having an indoor swap meet from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22. They are renting out tables to anyone interested. Contact Sandra at 429-8937 for more information.

• The parking lot located near Marr Gym at Robertson High School is closed for three weeks due to paving and finishing work. Students, parents and residents are advised that during this time students will be utilizing parking on Fourth St. near the Quintana Building, south side parking lot, Fifer Education Building, near the tennis courts and along Friedman. • West Las Vegas High School Open House, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24. All parents, guardians and community members are encouraged to attend.

• Halloween Party from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, Presbyterian Church, 1000 Douglas Ave., for children and youth. Entry fee $2 each plus 1 canned food item or 1 bag of candy. Free Pizza and refreshments, games, prizes, music and more.

• The ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3815 is having a Halloween Extravaganza from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28. There will be a dinner, dancing, and costume contest for all ages. Contact Sandra at 429-8937 for more information.
