• Story Time at Carnegie Library, 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the children’s area of the public library. This week’s book is “Whooo’s Haunting the Teeny Tiny Ghost?”  by Kay Winters. Free and open to the public.
• New Mexico Highlands University Homecoming festivities, 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, Time Capsule Ceremony, student center, capsule will be opened up in 2063; and 2:30 p.m. roadway to Perkins Stadium stenciling, meet in front of the Stu Clark Building.
