• Story Time at Carnegie Library, 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 in the children’s area of the public library. This week’s book is “Sam at the Seaside” by Mary Labatt. Free and open to the public.
• Basement Bargain Sale,  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1 at United Methodist Church. Eighth and National. Donations will be accepted Wednesday, May 22; and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29. They will not accept any clothes or books. All proceeds will benefit United Methodist Church.

• El Campesino Dedication, 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 at Plaza Park. The 14-foot monumental tree stump sculpture was created by Spanish Colonial artist and Montezuma resident Peter E. Lopez. The statue is dedicated to farm workers, San Isidro and the Tri-County Farmers Market.

• The Memorial Service for all deceased patients of the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute, scheduled for Friday, May 24 has been cancelled because of ongoing construction. For more information, call Lisa M. Apodaca at 454-2680.

• Second Annual Fabian Trujillo Run/Walk, 5K run starts at 7:45 a.m., one-mile walk starts at 7 a.m. and “Logan’s Trot” for children younger than 12 after the 5K run on Saturday, June 15 at the Gene Torres Golf Course.
