The Tecolote Fire is a quarter contained, officials say.
The fire is on Bear Mountain, about 2.5 miles south of Gallinas Canyon. The blaze is raging on rugged terrain in the Santa Fe National Forest.
No structures have been burned, and no evacuations have been ordered.
The fire has burned 717 acres. According to officials, 550 personnel are committed to the blaze.
Officials said there wasn’t an expansion in the fire Wednesday, despite the higher temperatures, gusty winds and low humidity.
