Pro-Obama events planned

A couple of pro-Barack Obama events are planned for Thursday.

At 12:30 p.m., supporters of the Democratic presidential candidate will hold an event promoting early voting at the Las Vegas senior center.

At 3 p.m., U.S. Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-Calif., will headline a rally at the Plaza Hotel. She will be joined by Lt. Gov. Diane Denish, State Auditor Hector Balderas and congressional candidate Ben Ray Lujan.
