After 40 years of fighting fires, U.S. Forest Service fire specialist Bill Armstrong doesn’t mince words when talking about the possibility of a catastrophic wildfire in the Gallinas watershed.

“Your watershed is going to burn, categorically, without question,” Armstrong said during a public forum on Friday. It’s merely a matter of when, he added.
