The Las Vegas Police Department has promoted two lieutenants to captain, filling some of the top positions in the department.
Meanwhile, the police are looking to fill officer and dispatcher positions.
The department has been without its two captains since the October retirements of William Cruz and J.T. Vigil, who left within days of each other after working together for nearly two decades.
Police Chief Gary Gold has promoted Lts. John Trujillo and Eugene Garcia to captains. Trujillo will oversee investigations, while Garcia will be in charge of patrol.
