His major-league debut may have been a loss, but Justin Christian can always say he outhit teammates Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez on that memorable evening.

Christian, whose mother is Gloria Ortega-Romero of Las Vegas, was called up to the New York Yankees this week and made his first Major League Baseball appearance Tuesday night as the Yankees lost 12-5 at Pittsburgh’s PNC Park.
