The Las Vegas Police Department will be taking part in a national effort to get unused prescription drugs off the streets.
City police will have a collection station for the unused prescriptions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday outside Community 1st Bank at Sixth and Douglas. Anyone with prescription drugs that are no longer needed can drop them off at the collection site. The service is free and anonymous. No questions will be asked.
Only pills or patches will be accepted. The police department cannot accept liquids or needles.
