Photo work has been fun

-A A +A

Photographing and designing a weekly photo page for the Las Vegas Optic for the summer has been a pleasure. I was able to meet many locals and event-goers from all over town, work under deadlines in a busy press environment and improve my own skills as a photographer.

I thank all the readers for keeping up with the Names & Faces photo page, and I hope it was enjoyable. The audience that our “faces” page has drawn is greatly appreciated, as is its willingness to be part of the weekly pages. The Names & Faces pages, in order, were Barrels of Fun in Las Vegas, People and their Pets, Work and Play in the Blazing Heat, Fun and Frolicking at the Fiestas, People at Work, Fiddles and Bones, Bikers Roll into Las Vegas and Relay for Life.

This experience has taught me a great deal, and I hope to put that knowledge to use this year as I enter my junior year and take the position of photo editor on the newspaper staff at La Cueva High School.
