  • A Hail Storm and Monsoon pattern rain swept through Trinidad three hours before game time flooding Raton and Trinidad. The Triggers will not be able to host a home playoff game due to field usage conflicts with a prior scheduled event. All three games will be in Las Vegas: 7/26 a single game at 6PM and a doubleheader at 2PM and 6PM on 7/27.

  • Huge Rains swept through Southeastern New Mexico raining out Game 1 between Alpine and Roswell. The two teams will meet 7/26-7/27 and if neccessary 7/28 with all games in Roswell.

    Robbers advance to Finals

Saturday, July 27 -- The Las Vegas Train Robbers won both games of their double header today 5-2 and 8-2 against the Trinidad Triggers (scheduled for HU's field).

The Roswell Invaders beat the Alpine Cowboys 7-3 at home.

Both results put the winners in the finals.

Vague wording on the Roswell team's facebook page suggests that the first game of the playoffs will be in Las Vegas, probably tomorrow, Sunday.

Scheduling, Rescheduling and a win for Roswell

10:30 p.m. Friday, from the Triggers facebook page --The Triggers traveled from Trinidad to Las Vegas this afternoon, only to be greeted by a heavy rain storm that left the field in Las Vegas with standing water and mud, with the rain still falling.

The Pecos League announced that there will be a double header at noon tomorrow(Saturday) between the Triggers and Las Vegas Train Robbers. The games will be played at New Mexico Highlands University.

A sweep by either team tomorrow would put the winner in the championship game. If the two teams split, a third game would be scheduled for Sunday.

Down south, the Roswell Invaders took the home field advantage to beat the Alpine Cowboys 7-5 in their first playoff game tonight(Friday), according toaPecos League press release. The league web site predicts that the second game will be Saturday evening in Roswell, and the third game, if needed, will be Sunday, also in Roswell
