Pecos hires Sanchez to head hoops program

Hoops coaching veteran Clyde Sanchez has accepted the head boys’ basketball position at Pecos High School.

Sanchez, formerly the team’s assistant coach, succeeds his former boss, David Bustos. Bustos recently was hired as Robertson’s head boys’ basketball coach after a two-year run at Pecos.

Sanchez is a native of San Juan, an alumnus of Pecos and a former coach at West Las Vegas and Pecos. He has been coaching approximately 25 years including head coaching stints at all levels but varsity.
