Nope, I don’t know where our summer went, either. Seems like only yesterday I was planting containers of spindly flowers and a few zucchini seeds, because that’s what we have always done both when I was a kid at Valmora and here on the ranch.
My parents were too busy to work a garden, and I don’t think my doctor father knew a carrot plant from a squash plant. Furthermore, he really didn’t want to know, either. He thrived on good German foods, and he loved both sauerkraut and pickles of almost any kind.
