Oh, no! Here I go again —  yet another story about my Aunt Elvira. I must admit it has taken me quite a while (decades to those who might count) to appreciate her and her interest in my welfare.

My father’s youngest sister was prodded, pushed to get an education. I was just a teenager when she was awarded her Ph.D. in education, with a degree in Greek, no less. She began a teaching job at Wisconsin University, with a branch in Superior.
