The Las Vegas Outlaws football team evened its spring season record at 1-1 over the weekend with a 14-0 road shutout of the Santa Fe Sting.
The Outlaws, who heretofore played most home games at New Mexico Highlands University’s Perkins Stadium, will host the Taylor Ranch Trojans this Sunday at West Las Vegas’ Herrera Complex.
Rashaad Jackson rushed for 150 yards and a 5-yard touchdown this past weekend to lead Las Vegas past the Sting.
Former WLV quarterback Mike Martinez tossed to ex-NMHU Cowboy Daniel White for the other Outlaw touchdown, a 15-yard strike. And Josh Garcia caught a two-point conversion to complete the scoring.
The Outlaws’ Carlos Perea said his team showed “total defensive domination,” holding Santa Fe to under 100 yards of total offense.
