Our choices: County races

Next week, on June 5, San Miguel County voters will cast Democratic Party ballots for three county positions, with the primary election winners essentially being elected to their respective positions. Five candidates are vying for San Miguel County treasurer while two candidates each are competing for two seats on the County Commission.

No Republicans filed for these positions, so the winners of these three races will almost certainly be the ones to take office on Jan. 1, 2013.
