Omaha tops Isotopes

Still, the visiting Omaha Storm Chasers prevailed 6-3 Wednesday night, sweeping a doubleheader from the Albuquerque Isotopes.

Albuquerque fell to 4-3, having lost three of four to follow a 3-0 start, all at home.

Van Slyke, who leads the ‘Topes in hitting (.625, 15 hits) and home runs (four), went 2 for 3 in the nightcap but the rest of the team combined for just three hits.

Lilly struck out five in six innings of work but allowed five earned runs on eight hits and a walk.

In game one, Elian Herrera went 2 of 4 to lead the Isotopes in a 6-3 defeat.
