SANTA ROSA — Luna Community College has succeeded in attracting players for its baseball team, an official said this week.
But the students are having a hard time finding housing.
Lawrence Quintana, Luna’s human resources director, proposed the college look at financing options for building student housing.
This year, the college had 52 players — all of whom are from outside Las Vegas — try out for the team, a number that was cut to 40, Quintana said.
“The housing in Las Vegas is tight,” Quintana said.
