• The Adoptive and Foster Spiritual Group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. every second and fourth Wednesday at Our Lady of Sorrows religious education building. The group provides spiritual support to families with adopted and foster children. For more information, call Dolores Ortega or Savannah Montoya at 505-440-8686.

• If you are a non-profit or church and need volunteers on a regular basis, contact the San Miguel County DWI Office at 425-7998.

• Want company and a free meal? Comedor offers free meals to all ages from 4:30 to 5:10 p.m. on Mondays at the senior center. Free transportation available for persons 60 and older by calling 425-9139. Comedor also offers a free meal for all ages from 4:30 to 5:10 p.m. on Tuesdays at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Hall on the Plaza.

• Alcoholics Anonymous Hotline is 425-3577.

• Volunteers are needed for overnights at the Casa de Samaritan Emergency Shelter located 716 Grand Avenue. Are you or is someone you know willing and able to provide services to the less fortunate in our community and surrounding areas? The shelter usually opens on Nov. 1, but this date is always dependent on weather. If interested or want to know more about this program, call the shelter at 429-3730 or 454-1390.

• Interested in fostering or adopting a New Mexico child? Call CYFD at 1-800-432-2075 for more information.
