Not willing to accept gun-related killings

Regarding Gary Lucero’s letter (published Jan. 28 and titled “Insulted by editorial cartoon”), it was a little hard to see what the problem was until getting a look at the original cartoon (which ran Jan. 18). As I suspected, the problem (“insult”) lay in not taking the cartoon as a joke. I think we all know that “assault” weapons are not generally used for hunting — and I appreciated the additional information supplied by Mr. Lucero.
