Members of the Ride the Future tour stopped overnight in Las Vegas on a segment of their 3,745-mile tour from Columbia, S.C., to Google HQ in Mountain View, Calif., hoping to set five Guinness World Records in the process. The caravan includes an electric car, electric motorcycles, electric scooters and electric bicycles. The goal is to make the 43-day trip using only electric power. The stop in Las Vegas Thursday was the 22nd site in the tour. Members shown are Duane Leffel, Sean Scott and Ben Rich.
A simultaneous event, at the Highlands Golf Course, was providing pony rides by members of Ride to Pride. Here, Andrellita Chavez gives a ride to Serenity Chavez.
Members of the Gallinas Volunteer Fire Department also were present.
