No. 3 Lady Dons win third straight blowout

With three blowout victories in a row and a new No. 3 state ranking, the West Las Vegas Lady Dons are on a tear as the District 2-3A portion of the schedule approaches.

The latest win came Wednesday night, a 59-39 rout of visiting Santa Fe High.

As with Saturday’s romp over Dexter and Tuesday’s triumph against Tucumcari, this one was decided largely in the first quarter.

Geneva Rivera scored the first seven points of the night as part of an 11-0 West Las Vegas run to start the game.
