The Mountain Lions of Colorado-Colorado Springs maintained their unbeaten start at the expense of visiting New Mexico Highlands on Friday in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference women’s soccer opener.
UCCS won 2-0 to run its record to 5-0. Highlands slid to 2-3.
Agnes Arnadottir scored on a penalty kick at the 27:15 mark of the first half.
In the 30th minute, Brooke Tominello scored off an assist from Lindsey Birdseye and Hannah Levett.
Neither team scored for the remaining hour and 53 seconds of regulation time.
