New Mexico Highlands University is offering young area athletes several summer sports camps in which to hone their skills.
Highlands first-year head football coach Chad Roanhaus is announcing the Cowboy Junior Football Camp and the Big Man Camp. The former is described as a skills camp for youngsters 6 to 13 years old. It will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. June 2-4 on campus. Cost is $30 per child. Coaches and players in the Young American Football League are welcome to attend; instruction will be provided by the Highlands football staff.
