A national farm and ranch supply source is building a new store in Las Vegas, and it plans to employ at least a dozen people when it opens its doors.

Construction has already begun on the Tractor Supply Company store off N.M. 518, past Walmart as one heads toward Mora.

“Tractor Supply looks forward to becoming a member of the Las Vegas community,” District Manager Dusty Pate said in a news release. “Las Vegas is a great fit due to the part-time and hobby farmers and horse owners in the area.”

Bingham Construction of Marble Falls, Texas, is building the new store. Construction began on Oct. 15 and is tentatively set to be completed in February.

The company says it will employ 12 to 17 full- and part-time people at the store.

The Las Vegas store will be the company’s 12th in New Mexico.

Tractor Supply Company is a publicly traded company and the largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain in the country.
