It looks as though we may be getting new lighting for the Interstate exits around Las Vegas, although not before going through a period of absolute darkness.
For several years, most of the street lights around Exit 345 haven't been working. But that may be changing soon, as new cable and new concrete bases are being installed there and around Exit 347. Activity is also evident around Exit 343 and the Romeroville exit. In the interim, the few remaining functional lights seem to have gone dark.
As work progresses, we can look forward to a higher level of nighttime safety for ourselves and for visitors to our community.
