A ban on making job-seekers turn over their user names or passwords for social media accounts is among new laws taking effect Friday in New Mexico.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, the ban is one of 132 bills talking effect Friday after being passed during this year’s legislative session.
Other changes to state law taking effect Friday expand the legal hours for Sunday alcohol sales at bars and restaurants and require public bodies to post meeting agendas further in advance.
