Negotiation is best way to go

As one of the negotiators for the acequias in the matter of the remand, I want to thank the Optic for the editorial of March 23. As you wrote, negotiations will produce a much better result than any ruling by the courts. If the courts rule in favor of either the city or the acequias, the community will lose. This is because the courts are not interested in writing a sharing agreement that meets the needs of our community.
