Less than two weeks ago, Mora County Commission Chairman John Olivas stood before a crowd at Ilfeld Auditorium saying that there had been grumbling that his county would be sued if it moved forward with its plans to adopt a community rights ordinance banning oil and gas operations.
“Six months later, we’re still waiting,” Olivas said, chalking the threats up to propaganda.
Olivas no longer has to wait.
