Two years and eight months after the dismembered remains of Patsy Trujillo were discovered in a field in rural Mora County, state police have charged her live-in boyfriend with her murder.
Dennis Escovedo, 56, was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center on Tuesday. He is being held in custody in lieu of a $1 million bond.
Escovedo has been charged with second-degree murder, tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, and two counts of fourth-degree unlawful withdrawal from a financial institution.
