The Mora VFW and the Ladies Auxiliary had a busy weekend.

On Saturday, the Mora VFW was host to the Dist. 5  meeting at the VFW Center in Mora.

The ladies assisted them by decorating the tables with flags and flowers and serving lunch prepared by Commander Melvin Vigil’s family.

More than 30 people attended. They came from Raton, Clayton and Mora. Cerro and Las Vegas were not represented. After the meal,  the comrades held their meeting, which included reports and plans for the future.

On Sunday afternoon, the Ladies Auxiliary held its regular meeting at 3 p.m. Plans were made for the future activities after the correspondence and other business was completed. Plans were made for some of the ladies to attend the Dist. 5 VFW Ladies Auxiliary meeting at Raton on Saturday Jan. 19.

The ladies served coffee and refreshments during the social hour after the comrades of the VFW came in to hold their monthly meeting.
