Mora County man, heading to get married, and friend killed on I-25

ALBUQUERQUE  — A New Mexico woman says she and her boyfriend were on their way to Las Vegas to get married before he was killed on a freeway while changing a tire.

The Albuquerque Journal reports 28-year-old Lonny Escovedo, a native of the Mora County area, and his sister’s boyfriend, 21-year-old Michael Chambellan, were struck by a vehicle on the shoulder of Interstate 25 on Tuesday evening.
