Mora Co. manager doing excellent job

-A A +A

Thank you, Mr. Tomas Sanchez, for all you do for Mora County.

After many years away from Holman, we decided to retire here, and in 2001 we built our retirement home. While we were away the Tramperos Bridge culvert was installed and no provisions were made for the erosion on the opposite bank, which eroded our property enormously.

I contacted the then-Mora County manager, commissioners, and Corps of Engineers asking them for their assistance in the matter. My requests were not denied, but no one acted on them. The years passed and finally, in the summer of 2012, we contacted, Tomas Sanchez, the current Mora County Manager about our issues. He was very instrumental in working with Ms. Paula Garcia, then the chairwoman of the Mora County Commission, along with the other commissioners to resolve our issues. Our issues were resolved.

Several weeks ago we read and were surprised to see Mr. Sanchez had been placed on administrative leave. We want to applaud the decision for his reinstatement, since we feel that he is doing an excellent job as county manager and is a valuable asset to our county.

Thank you Mr. Sanchez and God Bless.
