A sculpture of Nelson Mandela went missing from its place of honor at the United World College, but has been safely returned, officials said.
The former South African president and social activist is an honorary president of the United World College system. On Saturday, President Lisa Darling said she received an anonymous letter that the bust of Mandela had been hijacked. The bust was taken from the Rock Garden, a place where students and faculty go to meditate.
