Comcast Cares Day was held last Saturday at the First Born of Northern New Mexico office at 1900B Hot Springs Blvd.

We had 26 people participate in Comcast Cares Day, which seems small compared to the 70,000 people worldwide who were doing Comcast Day, but to us it was very important. Our facility got all the woodwork painted in the building plus the kitchen. Carpeting was shampooed and a new front door was donated and installed. The final upgrade was window flower boxes on our porch, which are beautiful.

United World College students also assisted First Born and Comcast volunteers.

The businesses contributing to this project were Lowe’s Grocery (both stores), BTU Building Materials, Hacienda Home Center, Pat Romero’s Building Supply, Daylight Donuts, Pizza Hut and Walmart.

The Comcast local group was marvelous, and we appreciate their contributions to our community.
