The family of Tibor K. Remenyik appreciates the community support given to us as we are adjusting to the very changed condition of our lives. The memorial celebration recalled the many contributions he made to various groups that contribute to the quality of life for all of us.
Mayor Ortiz and Andy Feldman spoke of his civic interest. Joan Shaw reviewed his connection to Hungary, which was the source of his early life and gave him the charming, gracious personality we knew. Patrick Alarid spoke about the founding of the Friends of the Museum and the goals he wanted it to achieve.
The Fort Union Historical Park to which he donated about 10,000 hours of volunteer time was presented by the superintendent, Marie Sauter, who recounted the major contributions he made to the park.
Ron Wooten-Green moderated the program and Martha McCaffery created the slide presentation. The Methodist church generously provided the space for the celebration.
