-A A +A

We at Alejandro Rivera Substance Abuse Program and Amistad y Resolana would like to thank you for supporting the first Sobriety Ball.  It was a great success and it would not have been possible without the help of the community.

This was the first of its kind and now we know that our community will pull together to promote sober events. The ball was well attended with 150 people participating in the event and all were in great spirits. Everyone was dancing, including the children with their parents and friends, to the wonderful music of Los Tropicales and The Rite of Passage.  In addition, the abeyance of a ballroom at the United World College made the night mystical and everyone truly felt a sense of royalty.

On a special note, we would like to list all those who gave so willingly to this event:
United World College, Los Tropicales, Rite of Passage, Kyle Billie, Alejandro Substance Program, Alejandro Rivera Rentals, Collins Dental, Las Vegas Optic, Southwest Capital Bank, Rio Grande Treatment Center, Our Lady of Sorrows, Community First Bank, Daylight Donuts, Charlie’s Spic & Span, Newman Center, Immaculate Conception, West Las Vegas Schools, Love Music, Black Swan Gallery, El Fidel Restaurant, Gordon Jewelers, SPC Office Products, Floral Arts Shop, Benny “Cool Cat” Romero, K-Bob’s Restaurant, St. Michael’s Christian Store, Pancho’s Café, Bea Archuleta@REMAX.Net, Hana Homes LLC, Plaza Hotel, Perea Fast Tax, Walmart, Samaritan House, Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, Cornerstone Church, Advanced Skin, Hair & Body, KFUN & KLVF Radio, Floyd’s Rental Center, AA Accounting and Consulting/Tax Service, Pedro’s Bakery, KLYN Radio FM, Cornerstone Church, Hacienda Home Center, Steve and Janet Pittaway, Las Vegas National Wildlife Refuge, Pino-Benavidez Reunion, Tome on the Range, Sharon Rivera, New Moon Fashions, Lowe’s Super Save, Subway, Veronica Jaramillo, Ron Archuleta and Ambrose Valdez,  Driving Services.

There were so many others that assisted in this endeavor and if we failed to mention you or your business, we apologize.

We hope that Las Vegas will be ready to participate in the next “Sober Event.”
