Las Vegas City Manager Timothy Dodge said Wednesday that he is reconsidering whether to ask the mayor and City Council to give him a contract.
For months, members of the City Council have called for giving Dodge a contract, which they said would provide more stability at City Hall.
At last week’s council meeting, a majority of members said they were still interested in entering a contract with Dodge, who started last March. But Mayor Tony Marquez and Councilwoman Diane Moore said it would be best to wait until after the municipal election in March.
