The Los Lunas man who walked into a local physician’s home in February and demanded money and guns and who then attempted to gain entry into another woman’s home by pretending to be a police officer has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Lupe Chavez, 44, was sentenced by District Judge Matthew Sandoval on Nov. 19.
Assistant District Attorney Joseph Gonzales argued for the maximum sentence at the hearing, and Sandoval agreed.
