Madrid defends mayor's record

City Councilman Morris Madrid emphatically defended Mayor Henry Sanchez at this week’s council meeting. He was responding to critics of the mayor’s performance on the natural gas issue.

During the part of the meeting designated for council members’ reports, Madrid took issue with critics who suggested that the mayor, whom he calls a friend, hasn’t done enough for the elderly.
