LVPD has 3 newly certified officers

Three Las Vegas Police Department recruits who entered the state Law Enforcement Academy in July graduated Nov. 29, and one of them was presented with a commendation last week for winning the academy’s physical fitness award — only the third Las Vegas police recruit to do so.

Eric A. Esquibel, Anthony Madrid and Michael Ortega are now certified police officers.
Chief Christian Montaño introduced the officers to the City Council last week.
