LVCS board seeks members for audit committee

The Board of Education for the Las Vegas City Schools is inviting parents of students attending the school district and members of the community who have experience in accounting or finance to serve on its audit committee.

The audit committee reports directly to the board and shall be asked to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Evaluate the request for proposals for annual financial audit services;

• Recommend the selection of the financial auditor;
