LV boxers head to Burque

Three boxers with ties to the Meadow City are scheduled to fight Saturday night in Albuquerque as part of a professional card co-promoted by Crespin’s from Las Vegas and Chavez Promotions from the Duke City.

The event starts at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Kiva Auditorium, 401 Second Street N.W.

• Arturo Crespin (7-2-1) will fight Jose Garcia (3-4-1) of Ciudad Juarez in an eight-rounder.

• Amanda Crespin (6-4-1) faces Mercedes Mercury (3-11) of Denver in a women’s super featherweight match slated for eight rounds.

• Michael Coca Gallegos (0-10) takes on Christian Cabral (4-0), originally of Zacatecas, Mexico, in a lightweight contest. Gallegos returns after nearly a year layoff.

Other bouts scheduled include Fidel Maldonado vs. Trenton Titsworth, Brandi Montoya vs. Cristina Fuentes, Victoria Cisneros vs. D.J. Morrison, and Jose Sanchez vs. Angelo Sanchez.

Tickets ranging from $26.50 to $59.50 are available via Ticketmaster and from Carlos Crespin, 429-4068.
