That was the message Luna Community College attorney Tony Ortiz gave to members of the board of trustees pushing to remove Chairman Abelino Montoya from his board leadership post, and that legal advice sparked more bickering between Montoya and board members Ernie Chavez and Dan Romero.
But this time the bickering played out in front of the state’s higher education cabinet secretary and representatives of the New Mexico Public Schools Insurance Authority, Luna’s insurer.
