Tuesday, Sept. 25 — Rain continued to fall around New Mexico today as residents received their third straight day of relief from the heat of last week... Las Vegas received one-third of an inch of rain in the previous 24 hours. The highest temperature in the state Monday was 82 at Carlsbad and Hobbs, compared with a low maximum of 48 at Red River. The morning lows ranged from 46 in Las Vegas to 63 at Carlsbad.
